While celebrating his 61-yard touchdown rip in the 4th quarter of Sunday’s big divisional win against the Detroit Lions, Adrian Peterson heads to the back of the endzone to show Minnesota fans some love.
It appears as if AP was just trying to give as many high-fives as possible and in doing so he completely smacks a young fan in the face.
The Vikings went on to roll their divisional foes by a score of 34-24 and completed the 2-0 season sweep of the Detroit Lions and boosted their own record to 6-4 in the process. Peterson had the big-time game for the Vikings, amassing 171 yards on the ground with this 61-yard TD rush.
Peterson’s ACL injury from last season raised many concerns heading into this season, but the elite back has risen up to the challenge of fighting off such a severe injury by posting some great numbers. Peterson has 195 carries for 1,128 rushing yards (5.8 per carry) and 7 TD’s during his 2012 NFL campaign.
With numbers like this after a major knee injury, Peterson has once again proven why he’s still the NFL’s premiere running back.
