This past week, Bill Simmons of Grantland suggested that the Cleveland Browns were using the NBA “tanking” strategy when they traded away Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts, and named Brian Hoyer their starting quarterback. Their first week of tanking was unsuccessful, as the Browns scored their first win of the season against Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings, or as they are better known, the Minnesota Adrian Peterson’s and co.

The Browns victory shocked the football world, as nobody gave them a chance to compete, but that was not the only party shocked by the outcome. Peterson’s daughter apparently couldn’t believe that her dad’s team lost, either:

I think she speaks for all of us, not that the loss was her daddy’s fault. Peterson rushed for 98 yards and a score, and still thinks Christian Ponder shouldn’t be booed. Appreciate your loyalty, AP; hopefully you will be just as loyal to the guy that replaced Ponder next year at starting quarterback..
