Anthony Davis powers home a MONSTER dunk

  • Andy Flint

You want to know what happens when a young team gets out on the break? Big time plays! Eric Gordon shows his defensive game on one end, and then his speed as he runs the floor and feeds the trailing rookie, Anthony Davis, who finishes with a resounding jam at the rim.

This SportsCenter Top 10 worthy play came at about the 4:40 mark of the second quarter during Sunday’s showdown between the Kings and the Hornets in New Orleans. The number 1 overall pick showcases his ability to run the floor and gets rewarding by his teammate for the effort. This outstanding dunk put the Hornets up 45-42, and they would eventually win the game 110-95 on their home floor.

Anthony Davis finished with 20 points, although none were quite as exciting as the two he got here. Davis also secured 8 rebounds in the win. Fans love to see their franchise’s two best players out there giving them highlight plays. The tandem of Gordon and Davis is about the closest thing the soon to be Pelicans have had since Chris Paul and David West called the Big Easy their home.
