Grabovski, Kulemin post hilarious #ALSIceBucketChallenge vid
As you may or may not have heard, the #ALSIceBucketChallenge is all the rage on the internet these days. It involves someone posting a video of themselves dousing themselves with (you guessed it) a bucket of ice water, then nominating other people to do the same. It’s all for a good cause- again, as you may have guessed, to raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, aka ALS or Lou Gherig’s disease. It’s a disease that attacks nerve and brain tissue, typically resulting in loss of muscle control, or even total paralysis.
Two of the latest NHL players to post an #ALSIceBucketChallenge are Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolai Kulemin of the New York Islanders. They were also teammates on the Toronto Maple Leafs a couple seasons back….leading to a couple of hilarious nominations for the Ice Bucket Challenge. Video is below- if you can’t quite catch the quickly spouted nominations, spoilers are posted below the video. Enjoy.
“We nominate Randy Carlyle and Dave Nonis!” (Grabovski and Kulemin’s old coach/general manager in Toronto)
