Tampa Bay Lightning selling $200 season tickets

  • Arun Morace

At least one team is trying to smooth things over with jilted fans who have now missed over three months of NHL hockey. The Tampa Bay Lightning are selling season tickets for a mere $200 apiece for the upcoming projected 48-game season:

The obvious catch is there are only 200 of these specially-priced season tickets, but at least its something of an apology. Season tickets for the Lightning cost an average of about $4,500, so 200 people are about to get a massive discount to watch every Lightning home game of the shortened season.

The NHL season is expected to begin January 19th.
