It’s no surprise that the Philadelphia Phillies have been a mess in 2012. It’s also not a surprise that Cole Hamels is could be out of the City of Brotherly Love. Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, on the other hand, has been showing Hamels some brotherly love. The two had their lockers together for the All-Star game and told Hamels a very endearing statement.

“You’d look good in Dodger blue”
Kershaw continued to praise Hamel’s ability and the impact he could have for the Dodgers.
“I would love to have him there,” says the Dodgers ace. “Our whole team would love to have a guy of his caliber. I hope we make a run at him.”
We at Sports-Kings aren’t fashion experts, but what we do know is that such addition would be huge for L.A. The Dodgers are second in the NL in team ERA with 3.33 and a another quality pitcher would be just what L.A. needs to pull away from the Giants in the NL West.
Since the beginning of the year, reports and speculations have stated that Hamels could be moved. But despite the distractions, Hamels is 10-4 with a 3.20 ERA and 118 strikeouts. Will he be moved by the trade deadline? If so, where will he go? No one knows. But one does know that the addition of a former World Series MVP will be greatly improve a club. Stay tuned.
