While playing against Penn State last Saturday, Stefon Diggs suffered a lacerated kidney. Diggs suffered the injury while stretching out for the goal line in the fourth quarter. As he was reaching for the goal line, two Penn State players hit  a vulnerable Diggs from both sides.

Diggs was tended to by athletic trainers on the field before being checked on the sideline. He returned to the game later on and Maryland defeated Penn State 20-19. After the game, Diggs reportedly went to the hospital to be further checked out. On November 4, the Big Ten suspended Diggs for one game for his involvement in the pre-game

The Maryland Terrapins still have three games remaining this season and are already bowl eligible in their inaugural season in the Big Ten. Without their top wide receiver, the rest of the players have to pull together to find a way to fill Stefon Diggs’ role in the lineup.
