One week ago, Janniel Segura, the 9-month-old son of Brewers shortstop Jean Segura died suddenly and unexpectedly. When he returned to the team on Friday night, on the road in D.C., he received an ovation from Brewers and Nationals fans alike.

According to MLB.com, Segura needs baseball and his Brewer teammates now more than ever.

“It’s awesome,” Segura said. “You come here to the locker room, they hug you. I feel like they are my family, too. I feel pretty good. They make me feel strong, like, ‘Wow, those guys care about me, too.'”
