The Redskins are definitely a team who could use help in their receiving corps; their leading receiver, Pierre Garcon, was the only receiver who eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving (1,346 yards and five touchdowns) and no one else was even close. Jordan Reed was a distant second with 499 yards and three touchdowns. Fred Davis, a promising tight end, has been suspended by the league for substance abuse. Washington finished 16th overall in passing offense, but was below 20th in most categories including passing touchdowns and yards per attempt.
As for Jackson, he was originally drafted by the Eagles in the second round (49th overall) of the 2008 NFL draft out of the University of California. In six seasons, he has made the Pro Bowl three times and was selected once AP First-team All Pro. For his career, Jackson has played in 87 games, amassing 356 games for 6,117 and 32 touchdowns.
