REPORT: Redskins cut S Tanard Jackson
On the same day that the NFL announced they would be reinstating Washington Redskins safety Tanard Jackson from suspension, the Redskins announced that they will be terminating his contract. Jackson never played a down for the franchise.
Jackson was suspended by the NFL in August of 2012 for multiple violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy after signing with the team in the off-season. If Jackson is able to get himself back into football shape and keep out of trouble, it’s highly likely that NFL teams will once again come calling, possibly even the Redskins.
