Washington Capitals rookie forward Tom Wilson is only 19 years old. He stands 6’4 and weighs around 210lbs. This youngster is also ranked tied for 3rd in the NHL in penalty minutes with 110. The Blue Jackets forward Nick Foligno is 26 years of age and stands 6’0 and 210 lbs. These two decided to do battle during Thursday nights game.

Foligno already had his gloves off trying to entice the young Caps’ rookie and drew a 2 minute instigator penalty in the process of getting beat by Wilson in the fight. Wilson hits Foligno so hard at one point that his helmet comes flying off. In the penalty box, Wilson has to remove his jersey from the blood from Foligno and ice down his knuckles as they are battered and bloodied.

This kid Wilson may be a rookie, but he certainly can handle his own in the NHL. Look for him to be around for a while as he hones the rest of his skill sets.
