WATCH: Evgeny Kuznetsov’s first goal is a big one!

Evgeny Kuznetsov has now played in 8 games in his NHL career. He has tallied 6 points, 5 of which have been assists. He has already been moved up from the 4th line to the 2nd line. Let’s just say the kid is starting to get his feet wet in the league.

Last night with the Capitals down 4-3 against the Los Angeles Kings, after squandering a 3-1 lead entering the 3rd period, Evgeny Kuznetsov made his biggest contribution yet as a Capital. While on the penalty kill, Kuznetsov netted his first career goal to tie the game with 41.5 second left in regulation.

The Capitals would make it to overtime and gain a very important point in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Congrats to Kuzya on his first goal and hopefully many more to come in this playoff run.
