WATCH: Ryan Zimmerman hits a 2-run homer in the 16th inning
Since coming back from the DL and being placed in left field for the first time in his career, Ryan Zimmerman has struggled a bit at the plate. When he got injured he was batting close to 400 and was on a tear. Zimmerman hadn’t hit a home run since returning, but has at least transitioned pretty well to playing in the outfield. The 16th inning of last nights game against Milwaukee was all about Ryan.
First Zimmerman, in the top of the 16th inning, jacked a 2 run home run to give the Nationals a 4-2 lead. Then in the bottom half of the inning, Zimmerman shows his range as an outfielder and lays out to make an amazing diving catch to steal a hit away. Check out both amazing plays below!
