Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is still a little bit spited by how the Eagles cut him almost without a valid reason. He subsequently signed with division rival Washington Redskins, and Jackson now has a chance to stick it to his old team twice a year.

By all indications, Jackson is excited and eager for those matchups, and can’t wait to show the Eagles what they gave up when they released him.

Via PFT:

Oh yeah, twice,” Jackson said of playing the Eagles this year, via CSNPhilly.com. “Two times, not once, twice. I’m sure those two games, there’s gonna be something special about those two games, for sure. I gotta definitely go up on that.”

“It was almost unreal, honestly. My agent called me because I missed the call from head coach, and I’m sitting there like, what’s the reason behind it, what’s going on? Somebody tell me,” Jackson said. “Basically, [Kelly] told me ‘I think it’s best for the team and I think it’s best for yourself [to part ways]. We’re gonna let you negotiate with 31 other teams.’

Jackson wasted no time signing with Washington, and he didn’t even visit any other teams. Part of me believes this is because he wanted the chance to play the Eagles twice a year for the next three seasons. It’s starting to sound like these are going to be games you don’t want to miss, as it’s always fun to watch a player get a little payback against a team that cut him.
