Houston Texans Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson is not too happy about the moves the team has made this off-season. In May, Johnson refused to show up to voluntary team workouts. With some media outlets questioning whether or not Johnson will demand a trade, he is telling NFL.com that he is still hopeful he will be at the Texans training camp in August.

“Hopefully. We’ll see what happens,” Johnson told NFL Media’s Marcus Smith. “Training camp’s three weeks away, so we’ll see what happens.”

Johnson went on to add that he could not answer the question of whether or not he would be on the field when the Texans take on the Washington Redskins week one.

To date, Johnson has kept his displeasure with the team in-house and says that is just the way he likes it.

“I haven’t been public about anything,” Johnson said. “I just choose not to talk publicly about it. It’s in-house and that’s the way I choose to keep it. I’m not a big media guy, so I refuse to talk about it.”

Johnson is most likely upset that the team is entering the season with Ryan Fitzpatrick as their number one quarterback with Tom Savage and Case Keenum as his backups. While Johnson does have DeAndre Hopkins opposite him and Arian Foster in the backfield, the quarterback play should limit the Texans success in 2014.

At 32-years-old, Johnson is probably wondering if his chances of winning a Super Bowl are starting to dwindle. Surely, Johnson would be happier on a team like Seattle, New England, Carolina or Cincinnati. Instead, Johnson may have to waste the rest of his career hoping the Texans can find their way back to the playoffs.
