Bill Belichick wants more on-field cameras; Suggests a bake sale for funds

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick wants more on-field cameras on gameday. (Cue the Spygate jokes….)

The team requested more cameras for better views at the NFL owners meetings and Belichick addressed the issue by explaining why they’d want the better shots. Part of the reasoning is that the league just spent a lot of money on upgrading the replay systems, so more cameras for different angles would make sense.

It has not yet been voted for or against, but Belichick suggests to the league that it would be easy to get the funds.

“We just spent, whatever it was, how many millions of dollars on the replay system. I mean, there’s a thousand cameras in every stadium, so that if somebody spills a beer on somebody, we have it on record, right? Maybe we could have a bake sale. Raise some money for the cameras. Do a car wash.” Belichick said via FOX Sports.

Funds? Piece of cake. Pun intended.
