Quarterback issues are not new to the Cleveland Browns. Two years after drafting Quarterback Brandon Weeden in the first round of the NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns may be looking elsewhere for their quarterback.

Coach Mike Pettine talked about this issue in a yearly NFL Combine press conference.

“I’ve always admired Brian (Hoyer) from afar,” Pettine said. “I think he’s proven he can be successful. But at the same time you are always looking to make your team better”.

Funny how Pettine mentions Quarterback Brian Hoyer, but nothing about their first round draft pick in 2012.

NFL.COM Media Columnist Michael Silver previously reported that Brandon Weeden had requested a trade out of Cleveland.

A trade or a release seem like the likely options at this time for Weeden.

Ultimately, Brandon Weeden’s days in Cleveland appear to be numbered.
