Browns RB Trent Richardson named in Assault Lawsuit
Cleveland Browns second-year running back Trent Richardson may be in a bit of hot water early in his career as he was named a suspect in a civil lawsuit claiming physical and verbal assault.
Although the 21-year-old back has not been arrested for the alleged incident, the claim moves forward while naming four others. Richardson’s brother, his girlfriend and two other people yet to be named.
The lawsuit claims that Richardson became irate and slammed his fist into the hood of the defendants vehicle, causing over $1,500 in damages.
Via Sports Illustrated:
The lawsuit claims that the incident began on Dec. 9, 2012, at Rumors night club following a Browns victory and continued into the early hours of Dec. 10 when the defendants invited Krystal Jones of Maple Heights and Kathleen Hunter of Cleveland to Trent Richardson’s home in Columbia Station, according to the complaint.
Trent Richardson asked the two women to leave, but as they were leaving, Christman said Richardson became enraged, cursing the two women for “slamming a door” and “disrespecting his house,” according to the complaint.
The Browns declined to comment on the situation, but said they were aware of the alleged actions.
