Colin Kaepernick has done well for himself since entering the NFL last season. He’s playing on a dominant 49ers team that was a fumble away from a Super Bowl last season, and he’s taken kindly to the top of the depth chart due to an Alex Smith concussion that let Colin shine.

He’s continued to shine, and with a win over the New England Patriots last night, he’s doing everything right.

The story here gets a little better when one finds out that Kaepernick had predicted this in the fourth grade.

During last nights telecast on NBC, Al Michaels mentioned that when Kaepernick was in fourth grade he wrote himself a letter explaining where he’d want to be in seven years. He was a little bit off on his timeline, but his wish of playing in the NFL, right down to the team, came true.

A young Kaepernick wrote:

“I’m 5 ft 2 inches 91 pounds. Good athelet. I think in 7 years I will be between 6 ft- to 6 ft 4 inches 190 pounds. I hope I go to a good college in football then go to the pros and play on the niners or the packers even if they aren’t good in seven years. My friends are Jason, Kyler, Leo, Spencer, Mark and Jacob. Sincerly Colin”

He mentioned the 49ers or Packers, and he got his wish. Although he’s a little heavier than the 190 he predicted, the rest is a pretty good guess, right down to his very height.

The 49ers and Packers are very good, and he got his opportunity at the right time. He could very well end up playing the other team he longed to play for as a child in the Playoffs as well.

It’s an excellent prediction, and I’m sure he couldn’t be happier.
