Cowboys WR chased Animals to lose weight for Training Camp
What’s a good way to lose weight? A good diet, some solid workouts, maybe a supplement to help speed things up?
That’s what one would think, and probably the way a doctor would recommend, but for Cowboys wideout Dwayne Harris, he did things a different way to prepare for Training Camp.
He arrived in Oxnard, California down nine or so pounds from last year by chasing wild animals.
Yes, chasing animals, was the way Harris got himself in shape before heading out to camp.
“I’d just go out, man, and look for stuff to run after,” Harris said via ESPN Dallas. “All kinds of stuff. Rabbits, cats, everything. Especially when I was back at home with my mom. We live in the woods, so there was a lot of stuff running out there.”
His most difficult opponent though?
His dog, Polo.
“I’d chase after him because he doesn’t want to come home,” Harris said.
“He’s not as quick as he used to be, but he’s pretty fast,” Said Harris. “He can run straight ahead.”
Maybe the canine is just as quick as he once was, but a lighter, in-shape Harris is faster.
So next time someone recommends you lose a few pounds, just go run around chasing a handful of animals!
