Darren Sharper surrenders to police
Former NFL player Darren Sharper has officially surrendered to police after being charged with two more rapes.
Sharper has been out on bail after being arrested in connection to two rapes in Los Angeles in January and is now facing two more charges of aggravated rape in New Orleans. He is also still under investigation for connections with other rapes in Las Vegas, Miami and Tempe, Ariz.
If found guilty, an aggravated rape charge in Louisiana carries a sentence of life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
An acquaintance of Sharper, Erik Nunez, 26, also is facing charges in the rapes of women, which police said occurred in September 2013.
