David Wilson moons New Yorkers following his neck surgery
The sophomore season for New York Giants running back David Wilson was supposed to be his breakout season. Ahmad Bradshaw had moved on to Indianapolis and Wilson was set to be the starting back. Instead, Wilson stumbled out of the gates and could never rebound. Before being injured, Wilson played five games for the Giants and averaged only 3.3 yards per carry on 44 attempts for 146 yards. Wilson’s neck injury ended his season and ruined his chance to show New Yorkers he was worthy of being a first round pick and their future starting back.
Hoping to be ready for next season, Wilson had surgery to repair his neck on Thursday.
After a successful surgery, Wilson chose to celebrate on Friday by mooning New York from his hospital window.
Of course, being the brilliant man that Wilson is, he posted the picture to his Instagram on Friday.
I am not too sure who Wilson thought he was mooning, but I can bet the Giants front office is not too happy he is posting pictures like this on his social media.
Plus, if Wilson is hoping to alienate the fan base of New York, this may be the quickest way to do just that. And once the fans of New York turn on you, it can be hard to get back in their good graces. However, if Wilson continues to run like he did this season, he may be on his way out of New York sooner rather than later.
For now, I believe it is safe to say there is a full moon over New York.
