Dee Milliner thinks he is the best corner in the NFL
When someone mentions the best corner back in the NFL, most of the time you think about Seattle’s Richard Sherman, Arizona’s Patrick Peterson, Cleveland’s Joe Haden or maybe even New England’s Darrelle Revis. But according to New York Jets corner back Dee Milliner, he is the best corner in the NFL.
“The best corner in the league? Me,” Milliner told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. “I ain’t gonna say that somebody else is better than me.”
While Milliner says he is the best corner in the NFL, he is probably just being confident in himself.
“I’m not going to say somebody that plays the same position is better than me,” Milliner said. “Don’t care if they’ve been in the league 10 years and I’ve been here five months. That’s how it’s going to go. I’m the best. I’m not going to say that another man that plays the same position . . . and say he’s better than me? I can’t do that.”
Milliner finished the 2013 season with 17 passes defended and 3 interceptions. While he may tell himself he is the best corner back in the league, he does not seem to strike the same fear in opposing offenses as Sherman, Peterson or Haden.
Still, as a second year player in the league, Milliner has a lot of time to grow and potentially become the best corner in the NFL.
