Despite changes in Indy, Reggie Wayne to remain a Colt
A report from Adam Schefter of ESPN indicates that the Colts and WR Reggie Wayne have reached an agreement on a three year deal for him to remain a Colt.
Despite all the changes that have taken place in Indianapolis, Colts fans will have at least one familiar face on the field. Since the release of future Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning, the Colts also released Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark; Two of Manning’s familiar teammates. It was widely speculated that wherever Manning went, Wayne would follow. The Colts also lost WR Pierre Garcon to free agency earlier in the day, as he reached a deal with the Washington Redskins.
Wayne has been in the league since 2001, he’s accounted for over 11,000 yards and has reeled in 73 Touchdowns. He’ll be a good piece to the puzzle for Andrew Luck to get his career started with in Indianapolis.
As for Manning, no decision has been made on where he’ll play yet, and he has a meeting with the Titans tomorrow.
Update: As per usual, Colts owner Jim Irsay had something to say about the latest Colts news on Twitter. He said “REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE!!!!!!!”
