Eagles name Nick Foles Starting QB Moving Forward
The Michael Vick show is officially over in Philadelphia.
Eagles coach Chip Kelly announced Tuesday morning that Nick Foles will be the Eagles’ starting QB moving forward.
Vick won the job at the beginning of the season but took a seat on the bench due to injury and Nick Foles got his chance. A chance he ran with as he tossed seven touchdowns against the Raiders to open Kelly’s eyes.
Still, Kelly was hesistant to name Foles the starter while Vick rehabbed from injury.
Now that Vick is healthy, he’s been demoted to the backup behind Foles.
Foles has played in eight games this season where he’d completed 63 percent of his passes. He has 16 touchdowns and no interceptions while maintaining a 128.0 passer rating.
Eagles fans have been relieved having a QB that can take care of the football, and it’s paid off as the Eagles are on a three game winning streak. They host the Cardinals on December 1st.
