Eagles RB Dion Lewis arrested on Felony Charges for pulling a Fire Alarm

According to The Albany Times-Union, Vikings Running Back Adrian Peterson wasn’t the only RB to be arrested this weekend.

Dion Lewis, a fifth round draft pick for the Eagles in 2011 was also arrested, but his charges are much more than that of Peterson’s. Lewis was arrested Saturday in a Albany Hotel on Felony charges for falsely reporting a fire.

SI.com writes:

Lewis, along with his older brother, Lamar Lewis, were charged with falsely reporting a fire, a felony, and misdemeanor reckless endangerment.

Police say the two men were intoxicated at the time of the incident, which occurred around 4 a.m. when the sliding glass doors would not open.

Lewis was a resident of the hotel, which locks the doors after midnight but can be opened by residents with a hotel key. Lewis, 21, was released after being arraigned.

Lewis is expected to be the main backup for LeSean McCoy heading into the season. Last season he produced 102 yards and a Touchdown for the Eagles.

From personal experience as a Firefighter, nothing is more irritating than people pulling alarms for fun, especially at 4 AM. Usually children are the culprits of the false alarms, however in this case it was a professional acting as a child.
