Frank Gore does the dirty bird after scoring game winning TD

With the team trailing by three points late in the fourth quarter, San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore took the ball nine yards for the game winning touchdown. San Francisco’s defense was able to hold on to the lead and beat the Falcons 28-24.

However, one of the best moments of the day came when Gore decided to celebrate his touchdown with the dirty bird.

Gore, starts with the celebration before stopping and waving it all off.

The Dirty Bird celebration was popularized during the 1998 season when Jamaal Anderson and the Atlanta Falcons began a bird like dance after touchdowns. Anderson and the Falcons landing in the Super Bowl before being defeated by John Elway and the Denver Broncos.

Perhaps the celebration is good luck, as Gore and the 49ers are headed to the Super Bowl in two weeks.
