FSU CB Greg Reid arrested in Georgia
The summer of college football arrests continues. We can now reset the counter to zero days since our last arrest. According to WCTV in Tallahassee, Reid was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol last night and charged with driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana and a seatbelt violation.
The station confirmed the arrest through the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, though a police report hasn’t been released yet, so details are scarce to say the least.
Because the alleged incident happened recently Florida State has yet to issue a statement on Reid’s arrest.
This is not Reid’s first run in with the law. In late September of last year, he was arrested and charged with two misdemeanors after being stopped by police on a scooter and identifying himself as a friend. Those charges were later dropped, however.
He was also suspended one game that same month for unspecified violation of team rules.
In 2011, Reid had two interceptions and was 18th in the country in punt returns with an average 11.24 yards per attempt.
