Georgia WR Chris Conley is filming a homage to ‘Star Wars’
Cue the Imperial March theme. Because Chris Conley, a wide receiver on the Georgia Bulldogs, is such a fan of the Star Wars series that he’s decided to film his own homage to it. Conley is a six foot, three inch junior who caught 45 passes for the Bulldogs in 2013.
He got some of his Georgia friends to dress up as stormtroopers and other characters from the movies such as Boba Fett and General Grievous. Even Georgia head coach, Mark Richt has got into the action. In an interview with Dog Bytes, he explained his love for the series.
“My brother and I got into the games and into the some of the Star Wars history outside of the movies and I’ve just been a fan of it ever since,” Conley said. “I’ve been a big guy who prides myself on remaining who I am regardless of who I’m around or how old I get. It’s something that I like and regardless of what people tell me, if it’s frowned upon or not. It’s me.”
The movie is due to come out in April.

As a huge Star Wars fan myself, I’m looking forward to this as much as anyone. You can be sure Sports Kings: Down And Distance will be keeping an eye on it and will post the finished video when it becomes available. May the Force be with you, Mr Conley…
