ICYMI: DeAngelo Hall gets ejected
In case you missed the temper tantrum thrown by Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall towards an official in Sunday’s game against the Steelers, rest easy my friends I have it here for you.
Hall was upset at a call not going his way after a little scuffle with Steelers wideout Emmanuel Sanders. After the official broke up the fight, Hall removed his helmet and started berating the official with a stream of less-than-pleasant words while shoving his finger into the official’s face and backing him up with every word.
Several Redskins players tried to calm Hall down, but he kept going at it and refused to stop. Eventually flags were thrown and the childish act was removed from the stadium as he was ejected.
Linebacker London Fletcher was one of the teammates trying to calm him down and he told the Washington Post he knew Hall wouldn’t win the battle.
“I just really was just telling him at that point in time, he wasn’t going to win that battle,” Fletcher said. “They had already thrown two penalties. I think they had already decided they were going to kick him out of the game. I just didn’t want the situation to get any worse for him, even though he was out of the game.”
Hall said after the game that he wasn’t going to talk about it, and he had already scheduled a meeting with Commissioner Goodell.
“Any questions on the football aspect of the game? I’m not going to discuss that particular play,” Hall said. “I’ve got a meeting scheduled with Commissioner [Roger] Goodell on Monday, me and him will talk about it, watch the film and figure out what went down, get to the bottom of this.”
We’ll see how it turns out for Hall, but I’m guessing it won’t be all peaches and cream when it’s all said and done.
