Jacksonville will sign Alex Mack by Friday unless Cleveland matches offer

With the addition of guard Zane Beadles this off-season, the Jacksonville Jaguars are trying to solidify their offensive line that allowed the second most sacks in the NFL last season. Today, the Jaguars are trying to improve on their offensive line woes even more by adding center Alex Mack.

According to Adam Schefter, Alex Mack will sign a five-year deal with the Jaguars. However, the Browns placed the transitional tag on Mack and have until Friday to match the Jaguars offer.

Schefter is also reporting that according to sources, Mack wants to play out his next contract in Jacksonville and not Cleveland.

For now, the Jaguars have added one of the best centers in the NFL and should have a much improved offensive line in 2014.
