Jacoby Jones fails Baltimore Ravens’ conditioning test
According to NFL.com, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones was placed on the NFL’s non-football injury list today after failing his team’s conditioning test. Jones is in the last year of his two year contract he signed with the Ravens in 2012. Jones finished last season with only 30 receptions for 406 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Ravens were hoping Jones would be their number two wide receiver but he was out shined last season by Anquan Boldin.
With Boldin being shipped to San Francisco, Baltimore will have to rely even more on Jones to become the team’s number two wide receiver.
If Jones is already struggling with his conditioning, it does not bode well that he will become the team’s second option at wide out.
In other news, number one wide receiver Torrey Smith’s fantasy football stock continues to rise.
Smith could be a mid-round gem that turns out to be a top 10 receiver.
