Jaguars fans don’t have too much to cheer for, as their team is one of the perennial bottom dwellers in the NFL, but soon, fans will finally have something to keep them entertained while at EverBank Field.

No, the product on the field won’t be any better – but the Stadium will soon be equipped with new Scoreboards – and the early designs have them set to be the biggest screens in the world.

Yes. even bigger than Jerry Jones’ 72-foot by 160-foot screens hanging in AT&T Stadium.

The Jacksonville city council approved the $63 Million Dollar project on Tuesday night. The city will provide $43 Million, while the Jaguars will provide the rest. The city hopes the enhancements will allow them to secure a bid for future College Football Playoffs. (Because the NFL Playoffs won’t be happening there anytime soon – ZING!)

Construction is set to begin in January, and the project should be complete in July before the Jaguars start their 2014 Campaign.

It has also been rumored that these new screens will show the NFL RedZone Channel – assuring that paying fans will indeed see touchdowns scored on Sundays.
