The NFL kicked off the day by announcing several suspensions across the league, but Josh Gordon was not one of those names.  This however, is inevitable and will occur sooner than later.

Per a league source, nothing will be happening today.  It is reported that Gordon’s appeal hearing is scheduled for late July.

The hearing may not be needed should the NFL and NFLPA work out a reduced suspension.  Gordon is facing a minimum banishment from the league of one year for his latest violation of the substance-abuse policy.

Should he be suspended for the entire year, the ban will be in effect immediately.  If a reduced suspension is agreed upon, it’s possible Gordon could participate in training camp and the preseason.  That conclusion will not occur today, but will be known sometime this month.  Until then, all Browns fans can do is cross their fingers and hope for anything less than the reported year he’s facing.
