Josh Gordon: I don’t think I’ve hit my pinnacle yet
After finishing 4-12 in 2013, the Cleveland Browns have been busy this off-season. So far, the team has fired their head coach, hired Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine, signed big named free agents like Donte Whitner, Karlos Dansby and Ben Tate and even moved on from quarterback Brandon Weeden.
As the Browns look forward to the 2014 season, they are hoping wide receiver Josh Gordon will build on his success from last season. According to Gordon, even after hauling in 1,646 yards and 9 touchdowns, he has yet to reach his pinnacle.
“I don’t think I really reached my pinnacle yet. I think this is the tip of the iceberg, really. I think I can go a lot higher, a lot further than that,” Gordon said in an interview with the team’s website.
If the Browns decide to draft a rookie quarterback, Gordon may be the new quarterback’s favorite weapon. While he may not top his 2013 season, Gordon can still be an incredible weapon for the Browns offense.
With the addition of Ben Tate and Nate Burleson, along with another year of Josh Gordon, the Browns may finally have an offense worth watching.
