Today was a day of good news, followed by bad news for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb. The Cardinals put out their first official depth chart of the 2012 NFL season and Kolb was listed as the starter.

Only a few hours later, Kolb left practice with a bruised thigh.

While the injury does not seem to be too serious, injuries continue to be a problem for Kolb. It seems as though any time Kolb is named the starter, he suffers an injury. Today, it only took a matter of hours.

Kolb limped off the practice field and spent some time with a trainer after another player’s knee collided with his thigh. After he got out of the training room, Kolb was feeling good enough to sign some autographs for the fans who attended today’s practice.

The designation of Kolb as the No. 1 quarterback on the depth chart means he’s expected to start the Hall of Fame Game against the Saints on Sunday. Assuming he’s healthy enough to play.

  • payton, great quaterback, SUPERBOWL? YEA!

  • Brick-hand Sanders from the Steelers? Is Manning a receivers coach now? Manning was on his game. Weren’t the Chargers without their starting corners? Still played great. Broncos defense stuffing the Chargers running game was impressive. That 30 yarder floated in there nice. Is it me or does Peyton’s passes look like a 30 yard bomb? That crap won’t work in the playoffs when Ravens defenders are used to practicing against Flacco who throws 70-yarders.
