LSU Quarterback Zach Mettenberger is out for the season
After a season in which he led the Louisiana State Tigers to a 9-3 record, it appears as though quarterback Zach Mettenberger’s collegiate career is over. According to ESPN, Mettenberger, who left Friday’s game against Arkansas with an injury, has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the team’s bowl game.

As Mettenberger is a senior, that means his career at LSU is over. The Tigers will most likely turn to Freshman quarterback Anthony Jennings to lead their offense in their bowl game. Jennings relieved Mettenberger on Friday and completed four of his seven passes for seventy-six yards and a touchdown.
On the season, Jennings only has ten pass attempts.
Following the injury to Mettenberger, LSU will have to scramble to get their Freshman quarterback ready in time for their bowl game.
