Marvin Harrison Shot At in Philadelphia
According to David Gambacorta of Philly.com’s Daily News, former NFL Pro Bowler Marvin Harrison was shot at around 3:20 am Saturday morning in North Philadelphia. Apparently Marvin was driving his Ford F-350 pickup truck through a neighborhood when a 38 year old man flagged him down wearing just his boxers. The naked man was frantic and asked 41 year old Harrison to call 9-1-1 because two intruders just broke into his apartment.
The former Indianapolis Colts star wide receiver, who played for the team for thirteen years, then allowed the man to climb into the bed of the truck before the burglars came after them both. One of the men fired twice and bullet struck one of Marvin Harrison’s truck tires while they were trying to flee the area. Neither Harrison or the unknown victim were injured during the incident.
The victim told the Daily News that the burglars stole about $500 in cash from the apartment and Marvin could not be reached for a comment. This is not the first time that Marvin Harrison has been in the news for reasons other than football. He has been accused of shooting two men in 2008 but both of them ended up being gunned down before any legal actions were taken. Then in 2010 he was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way street and police found a 9mm handgun in his car. Charges were never filed in that case either.
It seems that trouble find Marvin Harrison wherever he goes. Hopefully he can clean up his reputation and he will not be known for these types of happenings.
