More details emerge on the arrest of Chad Johnson
A series of Tweets from Izzy Gould of the Sun-Sentinel this morning shed a bit more light on the arrest of Miami Dolphins Receiver Chad Johnson as he was being released from Broward County Jail.
According to the Police Report, Johnson and his wife, Evelyn Lozada were arguing in a Smart Car. Earlier reports indicate that the arguments began over a receipt for Condoms, which the story still isn’t clear as to who found the receipt.
He began screaming ‘I don’t give a f—. I don’t give a f— about my career.” His wife then fled to a neighbor’s house to escape Johnson, who police said went for a went for a drive to let his wife calm down.
According to the report Johnson stated that during the argument he said “F— it”, his wife then head-butted him causing the laceration. Police said the laceration was about three inches long and did require medical attention.
So there are two sides to who butted who as of now.
Police say that Lozada wants to file charges.
Upon Chad’s release, he has been given a temporary restraining order for Lozada, whom he married on July 4th.
A Police Press release states that the 911 tape will not be released until possibly Monday. Johnson did not speak to reporters after his release, and his Lawyer said he would not discuss the case, nor give any information on prior communication with his client.
It goes noted that HBO’s Hard Knocks camera crews were not at the Jail for Johnson’s release.
More details will be made available on this story as they are released. Check back for updates.
