Nick Mangold wants to know who is using his locker on Sunday
On Sunday, the Denver Broncos will take on the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and New York Jets for Super Bowl XLVIII. During their stay at MetLife Stadium, the Broncos and Seahawks will be using the team’s locker rooms.
With the two teams using the Jets and Giants facilities, New York Jets center Nick Mangold wants to know who will be using his locker.
“I’m just intrigued to see if they left our nameplates up,” he said at MetLife’s Media Central, which was in a New York office building far from the stadium.
Mangold hopes someone can snag a picture of whoever is using his locker on Sunday. According to Mangold, he is not too particular about who uses his locker, except for one position.
“As long as it’s not a (defensive) lineman,” he said. “Everyone else would be fine.”
Mangold added that he is a bit disappointed the Jets are not in the Super Bowl this year because he would have loved to play in a cold weather Super Bowl. However, Mangold added that he is happy the big game is in New York because he thinks New Yorkers are really enjoying themselves.
“It’s a little bit more disappointing this year to not be in the Super Bowl because it would have really neat to be in a cold Super Bowl at our stadium but you know I think it’s a great venue and I’m excited that it’s here. I think the city has been great, I think the people are enjoying it.”
Hopefully, Mangold gets his wish and finds out who is using his locker on Sunday.
