Over the weekend there was a report that Redskins tackle Trent Williams was not going to participate in the Pro Bowl due to an altercation that left him with six stitches in his head.

Turns out, Williams was hit over the head with a Champagne bottle and tased in the scuffle.

Police said that there was an investigation taking place, and that Williams was the victim in the assault.

On Monday morning, Police stated that the Owner of the Miske’s M Nightlife nightclub, Michael Miske Jr, had been charged with the assault on Williams.

According to the Honolulu Star-Adviser, Miske was indeed arrested Monday morning and charged with Second-Degree assault.

Nightclub owner Michael Miske Jr. has been charged in connection with an alleged assault on Washington Redskins tackle Trent Williams on Friday.

According to police, Miske struck Williams, who was in Hawaii for today’s Pro Bowl, in the head with a dangerous instrument, reportedly a Champagne bottle, during an altercation. The incident took place at Miske’s M Nightlife nightclub at Restaurant Row.

Trent was unable to participate in the game due to his injuries.

National Football League Security subsequently warned players to stay away from the nightclub “pending (the) outcome of a criminal investigation conducted by the Honolulu Police,” according to NFL.com.

This isn’t Miske’s first run-in with the law. He’s been convicted of ten crimes, six of them being felonies.

His bail was set at $250,000 after his arrest.
