Paul McCartney to play at final concert held in Candlestick Park
Legendary British rocker Paul McCartney, best known for being a member of The Beatles, will be the headline act at the final ever concert held at Candlestick Park, the former home of the San Francisco 40ers.
The news was revealed by Paul McCartney’s official website who have billed the concert as ‘Farewell To Candlestick: The Final Concert’.
It’s a great send off for the stadium fondly referred to as simply ‘the Stick’. McCartney is one of the biggest selling musicians of all time. The Beatles have sold 177 million records in the United States alone.
McCartney will perform some Beatles hits such as ‘Hey Jude’, ‘She Loves You’ and ‘Twist And Shout’ as well as performing some of his solo material.
