Raiders Sign Veteran CB Hansen; Waive Van Dyke

There is no question that this Raiders team is now Reggie McKenzie’s. There has been a complete overhaul, and that continued today as the team brought in Veteran cornerback Joselio Hansen and waived last years third round pick CB Demarcus Van Dyke.

Hansen is a seven year veteran, spending his last six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s played in 104 games and brings a bit of experience to a needy Raiders secondary.

Van Dyke was a third round draft choice for Al Davis and the Raiders one year ago. He will hit waivers, however if he clears he will not be eligible for the Raiders practice Squad.

The Raiders also cut another draft choice of Davis’ final selections. Chimdi Chekwa was waived and placed on the teams practice squad after clearing waivers.
