The Rams used their fourth-round selection on former Utah State safety Maurice Alexander at 110 overall and hope he can make an impact in their secondary.  His journey to land on their roster, however, is quite remarkable.

Alexander recorded nine tackles for losses, 3.5 sacks, and an interception during his time with the Aggies, but was dismissed from the team and was ordered to serve a jail sentence of one year after punching a teammate in the face at a party.  At this point, any NFL dreams and aspirations seemed bleak.

Following his removal from the program, Alexander found work as a janitor at Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis before being reinstated by USU in 2013.  Alexander now has a second chance to carry out his NFL dream, and looks to clean up the Rams’ defense instead of beer and popcorn.
