Rams release Cortland Finnegan
The Saint Louis Rams have released veteran corner back Cortland Finnegan, Adam Schefter reports.
Finnegan played 2 seasons at Saint Louis. He had a good first year, but hasn’t done well since following a gigantic contract. Finnegan was signed for 5 years for a total of $50 million.
Finnegan didn’t live up to his gigantic contract, as he played in only 7 games last season for the Rams and didn’t make much of an impact on the games he played in.
Surprisingly, Cortland Finnegan tweeted a classy sent off message. Here is the tweet:

This comes as no surprise as Finnegan turned 30 on February. The Rams will totally benefit from this as they will save some money and use that money to possibly resign younger players with potential. As for Finnegan, I don’t think he will have any problems at all to find a new home. Finnegan is still a good corner and can make an impact right away for a secondary needy team.
