ESPN’s Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter reports that former Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie reached an agreement with the Arizona Cardinals on a one-year deal.

The Cardinals defense just got nasty-good with nice additions formulating in Arizona’s secondary.  Patrick Peterson is the number one corner in the valley of the sun, which will ultimately force quarterbacks to throw in Cromartie’s direction.  His veteran presence will be a positive influence on younger players on the Cards’ squad, like cornerback Tyrann Mathieu.

The NFC West just got that much more interest with the Cardinals building a defense to compete with the other defensive juggernauts in the division.
