Report: Jason Babin not running with the bulls

The rumors over the past week or two had pointed to Eagles defensive end, Jason Babin, reportedly readying himself for the running of the bulls in Spain this summer. This entire saga has apparently come to an end with Babin saying “it was never a serious consideration”.

Did Jason Babin just pull the ultimate Ashton Kutcher and punk us all?

“I’m not sure what you guys are talking about,” said Babin, “playing dumb. “I’m a little confused. I’m not a big basketball fan but growing up I was a Bulls fan. I’m confused. I have a lot of bulls on my farm in Texas.”

This thing really had some legs for awhile. Going as far as Babin saying he broke the running down like he does game-film and found a competitive advantage over the bulls (not the ones from Chicago).

“Everyone thinks it’s dangerous and hazardous,” Babin said, “adding it’s not, if “done correctly and soberly. … Bulls can’t turn the corner on cobblestone, so as long as you’re on the inside you’re going to be all right.”

Tell that to the dozens who receive some pretty gruesome injuries every summer.

Micheal Vick was even fooled by Babin’s little masquerade.

“I’m going to try to talk him out of it, if it’s the truth,” said Michael Vick. “I would much rather have him on my team this year than have anything catastrophic happen, so we’re going to keep him on the safe side.”

It seems as if this small publicity stunt has run it’s course and I’m sure Philly fans are happy that Jason has decided to not run with the 2,500 pound, horned animals with impressive speed and no regard for human safety.
