Percy Harvin has been steadfast in his desire to get a big payday. According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, that contract won’t come from the Minnesota Vikings. Glazer reports that the Vikings have traded Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks.

Harvin had 62 receptions for 677 yards and 3 touchdowns, and 22 rushes for 96 yards and another touchdown in 9 games this past season.

He now heads to a Seahawks team where he should be the primary target for young quarterback Russell Wilson. He joins Seahawks receivers Golden Tate, Sidney Rice, and Doug Baldwin in what now becomes a serious NFC contender heading into 2013.

It is currently being rumored that the Seahawks have given up at least their 2013 first round pick for Harvin.

Check back for more updates as the day goes on.

UPDATE: Glazer has reported that the Vikings will receive 2013 first- and seventh-round picks, in addition to a mid-round pick in 2014 in return for Harvin.

  • payton, great quaterback, SUPERBOWL? YEA!

  • Brick-hand Sanders from the Steelers? Is Manning a receivers coach now? Manning was on his game. Weren’t the Chargers without their starting corners? Still played great. Broncos defense stuffing the Chargers running game was impressive. That 30 yarder floated in there nice. Is it me or does Peyton’s passes look like a 30 yard bomb? That crap won’t work in the playoffs when Ravens defenders are used to practicing against Flacco who throws 70-yarders.
