Report: QB Teddy Bridgewater Contemplating Staying at Louisville
All year long, it has been assumed that Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater will be leaving his alma mater after the season to declare for the 2014 NFL Draft, where he would likely become a top three pick and make his mark in the NFL immediately. That’s why it may shock many to hear that the star quarterback is actually contemplating returning to school for his senior year.
John Middlekauf, a former scout for the Eagles, posted on Twitter that he’s heard from sources stating Bridgewater has contemplated returning to Lousiville for his senior season.
Multiple sources tell me Teddy Bridgewater has contemplated returning to school. No decision has been made at this point

If Bridgewater does decide to stay in school, it would throw a wrench in any and all mock drafts, and would change the entire landscape of the draft and team’s plans for the offseason, especially those who need a quarterback. It would also weaken a class many expected to rival the class of 2012 (Luck, RGIII, Wilson, Foles, Cousins, Tannehill, Keenum), which without Bridgewater would look a lot more like the class of 2011 (Newton, Kaepernick, Locker, Ponder, Gabbert, Dalton).
While contemplating a return to Louisville is by no means a guarantee, it is a cause for concern for anybody who assumed that Teddy would declare for the NFL draft, which was probably most of us.
