Report: Tim Tebow playing next year for Jaguars “a virtual certainty”
With news this week that the New York Jets will look to part ways with Tim Tebow, and perhaps Mark Sanchez as well, this off-season, speculation has already began about where Tebow might be playing next season. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen has already figured out where Tebow will be playing.
Mortensen says Jaguars owner Shad Khan still wants Tebow in Jacksonville, just as he did in March, and this time Khan is likely to get his man.
The Jaguars seem to be confused when it comes to their starting quarterback. After Sophomore quarterback Blaine Gabbert got injured this season, Chad Henne took over the starting role. The team’s head coach Mike Mularkey said for the rest of the 2012 season, Henne was competing for the starting job in 2013. With that, it appears as though the Jaguars have already given up on Blaine Gabbert.
If the Jaguars are ready to give up on Gabbert already, they have to be looking for a new quarterback.
Tim Tebow could be their man but if they are truly giving up on Gabbert, they need to draft a rookie quarterback in April.
In the meantime, let the Tebow-mania begin.
